The year is drawing to a close. Scotty is getting pretty tired of running to and fro! I have REALLY enjoyed spending every school day with your children. Thank you for all you have done to make it such a successful year for them - both here at school and at home. There are still many end of year assessments and skills being retaught, so it is very important for everyone to come to school every day!

 CAMP INVENTION June 1st – June 4th at Rocky Hill
 Safety City InformationWe had a terrific time at Safety City. While there, I learned the following about how you, as a family, can enjoy another visit to Safety City! Starting June 8 Safety City will be open for use by the general public on Mondays and Thursdays from 9a.m. until 7 p.m. through July 30 except for Thursday, July 16. Families may use the Safety City facility as a walking track (5 laps equals 1.25 miles), teach their children how to ride a bike or drive their battery-powered vehicles in a safe, unique environment. Parents must bring their own equipment-bicycles, helmets or cars. At least one adult must remain with their children at all times. Skateboards and motorized scooters are not permitted.  Careers - What Can You Tell Us?We would love to hear more from our parents and grandparents about your career! Last week the students loved hearing from Ellie's grandfather about his baseball career. Please think about spending 30 minutes (or more if you like!) in our room telling
us a little about your job and how you got it! I would be happy to tell you more about what interests second graders if you feel unsure what exactly to talk about. Challenge your child to make the same amount in two ways, or even three, if you have enough coins. Also, show the head and see if your child can (a) identify the coin by name and (b) describe the reverse to you. Thanks for your help!!
